THE DANGER DOLPHINS

Inspired by the likes of The Black Keys, The Beatles and Led Zeppelin, Adelaide based blues/indie rock duo ‘The Danger Dolphins’ have been throttling their heavy fuzzed out sounds to audiences all over Adelaide's vibrant music scene.
Zac Gerhardy (guitar/vocals) and Nick Barone (drums/vocals) are the wicked brainchildren behind the The Danger Dolphins. Recent supporters of Wolfmother at The Gov, the rock duo to date have released two EPs and three new singles off their upcoming EP 'Jam Factory' set for release later this year.
In the beginning, the authenticity and rawness of blues legends such as Muddy Waters, Taj Mahal and R.L. Burnside influenced the debut project of ‘Blackfish Blues’. The debut EP documents their exploration into self-production and songwriting, leaving listeners a sound true to the band at the time and a feeling of uniqueness to the project.
'Heavy Buzz Bad Blues' started out as magnetic poetry on a fridge, but soon morphed into the band’s desire to showcase their full sound after the simpler production of Blackfish Blues. Self-recorded and produced, the EP delves deeper into more creative producing as it expands past the 2-piece sound. The sophomore EP centres around the chaos and turmoil of figuring out life as a young adult, as well as the emotional highs and lows that come with its time.
